Four-Pasta Beef Bake
Four-Pasta Beef Bake is a delightful and easy recipe your family will love. It is especially kid-friendly and pretty easy to throw together. The recipe actually makes two huge casseroles. I usually halve the recipe or make one for the freezer. It has 4 kinds of pasta, spaghetti sauce, mozzarella cheese, and ground beef (I use ground turkey sometimes).

This casserole is tasty comfort food at its best. Probably the most time consuming thing is cooking the pasta because each pasta takes different lengths of time to cook. I try to find pasta with similar cooking times so I can cook them together. Otherwise you will have to cook them separately or some will tear and be overcooked and others undercooked and still gummy.
The first time I made this delicious Taste of Home recipe was for a friend that had just had a baby. I was taking them a few meals to tide them over during a difficult time. This was the second time the mother had a baby about 2 months premature. The family loved it.
Thankfully, both those little girls are thriving and healthy today. I really like making up this recipe to take to families that need meals. I can make one for us and send one on for someone else. It’s a very simple recipe but, quite frankly, there are days when all I can handle is simple, quick and easy!
When I first posted this recipe in June of 2012, I had just started my blog. I remade the recipe in February of 2013, but those pictures were of inferior quality. So I remade this recipe last week (September 2014) for someone who had recently taken a bad fall and gave them one casserole and served the other one for company we had that same day. I took some new pictures which are quite a bit clearer than my original ones.
While this recipe is pretty basic, you can certainly spiff it up if you desire. Adding a little crushed red pepper will provide zip. Adding minced garlic, basil, oregano and parsley to the spaghetti sauce will increase the flavor. Or, using homemade spaghetti sauce would certainly add to the quality of this recipe.
But if you want quick and easy (especially if you purchase assorted pasta that all have about the same length of cooking time), then Four-Pasta Beef Bake is an excellent option. Plus, if you know that you’re going to need a meal for a day when you have a busy schedule or lots of appointments, you can pull this casserole out of the freezer and it’s a real time saver. So if you enjoy Italian, consider making this tasty casserole some time.
Four-Pasta Beef Bake is an incredibly simple and easy way to make dinner. Plus, you get two casseroles out of this recipe. Eat one now and freeze one for later!
Four-Pasta Beef Bake is a great casserole to make when you have lots of company.
We enjoy Four-Pasta Beef Bake topped with a lot of cheese.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients plus a couple more jars of spaghetti sauce.
Cook pasta according to package directions. I was able to cook 3 of the pastas in one pot, and then cooked the other one in another since it needed to cook longer. Drain pasta and mix in a LARGE mixing bowl. (This large tupperware bowl wasn’t big enough).
Cook ground beef, onions, mushrooms and peppers. Drain. Add to pasta in a large mixing bowl with spaghetti sauce and eggs.
Stir all the ingredients together in the bowl.
Spray two 9×13″ casserole dishes with baking spray. Pour all the pasta ingredients into the sprayed casserole dishes.
Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Cover and bake the casserole about 45 minutes at 350.
To serve: Spoon Four-Pasta Beef Bake onto plates. Garnish with parmesan cheese if desired.
Here’s a look at the interior of the casserole. Yum.
Beef–pasta–spaghetti sauce–cheese–what more could you ask for?
Here’s the recipe.
