Cookies ‘n Creme Brownies
Cookies ‘n Creme Brownies are outstanding! I really hit pay dirt with this fabulous recipe! The lovely brownie layer is filled with Oreo cookie pieces and half a can of vanilla buttercream frosting! Then the brownie layer is covered with a can and a half of vanilla buttercream frosting and more Oreo cookies crumbled over the top. Spectacular is putting it mildly. This brownie rocks!

I found this luscious brownie recipe off the box of a Betty Crocker brownie mix a few years back. Although their current online version does not show the brownie frosted. Nor does it include more crushed Oreos on top like the recipe on the back of the box did.
You know, some of my favorite and best recipes have come from the back of boxes, packages, and products trying to market their wares. All I can say is many of those test kitchens who produce fantastic recipes. Many of those recipes have become family favorites. This recipe is one of them.
I will say this: I like my version a little better than the original version. I use two cans of frosting. The original recipe uses half a can of frosting in the brownie batter and spreads a thin layer of frosting on top. Instead, I use 1 1/2 cans of frosting on top PLUS Oreo cookie pieces. Yes, it’s rich, decadent and divine!
Yes, it’s so chocolaty, so scrumptious, so sensational I couldn’t stop eating them! We served these amazing brownies for our Super Bowl party last weekend and EVERYONE loved them. Between Saturday and Sunday last weekend, I’m sure I ate at least six of them myself! I finally packed a bunch off to one of our guests and put the others in the freezer so I could get them out of my sight. Oh, man they were so good.
If you love chocolate, Oreos and vanilla buttercream frosting, you will find these brownies heavenly! They will cure any sweet tooth you have. You will be hard pressed to share any of them with anyone else!
Cookies ‘n Creme Brownies are great to whip up for any occasion. They are especially good for parties, special occasion baking like Valentine’s Day or other holidays. When you want to WOW your company with your latest culinary creation, make a batch of these brownies! Better grab one quickly, though, before they’re all gone!
Cookies ‘n Creme Brownies are sensational!
If you make a batch of these rich, decadent brownies, I assure you, everyone will love them and you won’t be able to stop eating them! We served Cookies ‘n Creme Brownies for our Super Bowl party, but they would be great for any tailgating party.
Cookies ‘n Creme Brownies is a fairly quick and easy recipe to make. This is a great treat to prepare for your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day. It’s really not too difficult and it doesn’t need a lot of ingredients.
Here’s what I did.
These are the ingredients I used–except I used an additional can of frosting because one wasn’t enough!
Crush Oreos by placing them in a zip lock bag and rolling the cookies with a rolling pin. You will need 2 full cups of crushed Oreo cookie crumbs. Mix brownie mix, oil, eggs, 2/3 cup vanilla buttercream frosting, and 1 cup of Oreo cookie crumbs in a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until combined.
Spray a 9×13″ glass baking dish with cooking spray. Spread brownie filling into prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
Bake at 350 about 21-23 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
Spread 1 1/2 cans of vanilla buttercream frosting over top of cooled brownie layer.
Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup of Oreo cookie crumbs. You may want to refrigerate this for an hour or so first before cutting into bars to make smooth cuts in the brownies.
To serve: garnish brownies with additional Oreo cookies if desired.
Don’t Cookies ‘n Creme Brownies look splendid? I couldn’t stop eating them!
These are terrific brownies for Valentine’s Day.

What could be better than brownies with Oreos? On top of that it has vanilla frosting–my favorite way to eat any cookie or brownie is with lots of thick, fluffy frosting on top!
The nice thing about Cookies ‘n Creme Brownies is they really aren’t all that difficult to make. They also freeze well if you need to keep them out of sight for a special birthday or other occasion until you’re ready to eat them.
