Ranch BLT Pasta Salad
Oh my goodness, Ranch BLT Pasta Salad is so A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! The flavors are awesome, the texture has nice crunch from the veggies, and it’s a little like eating a Bacon-Lettuce-Tomato Sandwich minus the bread and using pasta and Ranch dressing instead. Ranch BLT Pasta Salad is wonderful!

I used turkey bacon because the person I was bringing this salad to didn’t eat pork and it was great with turkey bacon. But I bet regular bacon would add even more taste and texture. Ranch BLT Pasta Salad also uses a nice pasta called radiatore, but you could just as easily use bow-ties, rotini, or penne with excellent results. If you want to keep the recipe gluten free, I highly recommend the Ronzoni rotini pasta as a substitute.
I was going through my Pinterest recipes last week trying to come up with a different pasta salad recipe to take to some friends who were moving stuff from a storage unit into their new home. Once I saw this recipe, I knew hands down, it would have to be the one I’d try. First of all, I was looking for a recipe without tons of ingredients. Second, I wanted one that I could make rather easily.
And, third, I was sure if the recipe had Ranch dressing as the binder, it would be fantastic. I was correct! It was fantastic. I was really glad that I made a double batch of the recipe so we could have some later that night when we had company over for dinner. Our company just raved over this recipe–and so did we. I ended up eating the leftovers for lunches for a few days and was surprised that it lasted that long. The lettuce didn’t spoil.
Ranch BLT Pasta Salad is a wonderful and refreshing salad to make any time you’re having company, but especially if you’re planning on grilling outside. This easy recipe can be made up earlier in the day and served with your grilled meats and veggies as a really nice accompaniment.
We found this salad definitely hearty enough to serve for lunch anytime as a main dish. It was so filling that I didn’t need anything else to eat! I made a batch of Ranch BLT Pasta Salad to go along with La Madeleine’s Tomato-Basil Soup, a loaf of Cheesy Ranch Bread, and Cherry Strudel Cake, but you can serve Ranch BLT Pasta Salad with sandwiches or any main dish entree.
If you’re looking for a spectacular pasta salad recipe, then you’ve got to give Ranch BLT Pasta Salad a try really soon. It’s a great option for summer days, especially any of the summer holidays coming up where you’re going to swim parties or you’re going to be partying outside. I think you’ll find your kids will even enjoy this tasty and satisfying recipe. We couldn’t get enough of it!
Ranch BLT Pasta Salad is amazing. We loved this stuff!
Turkey bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, orange bell pepper, Swiss cheese and radiatore pasta are dressed in a delicious Ranch dressing. It make for one sensational salad!
Every mouthful of Ranch BLT Pasta Salad was succulent and delightful.
Here’s what I did.
These were the ingredients I used, but I pulled the wrong package of bacon out of the refrigerator. I needed to use turkey bacon in this recipe because the folks I was making it for were allergic to pork.
Cook pasta only until al dente. Rinse in cold water several times and drain.
Squirt ranch dressing over top of the pasta and stir to combine.
Refrigerate pasta until cold – at least 30 minutes.
In a large serving bowl add diced red onion, Swiss cheese, halved grape tomatoes, halved sunburst cherry tomatoes, and turkey bacon cooked and broken into 1/2 to 1 inch pieces.
Add romaine lettuce.
Add diced orange bell pepper and stir to combine.
Refrigerate salad a few hours if possible before serving.
Ranch BLT Pasta Salad can be made with turkey bacon or regular bacon, depending on your personal preference. You can also use gluten free pasta if you prefer.
This is a double batch of the salad. I gave half of it away and served the remainder for company the same night.
This close up allows you to see the texture of the veggies and pasta.
Here’s the recipe.
