Memorial Day Side Dishes
Memorial Day is upon us so it’s time to break out the side dishes, salads and appetizers to make your holiday parties great. We have made most of these recipes many, many times for summer holiday fun and especially for potlucks during the summer season.

This collection of 50+ Memorial Day Side Dishes does not include desserts. It contains recipes for Appetizers, Fruit Salads, Pasta Salads, other types of salads that are not tossed salads. It also includes baked beans recipes. After all, how can you have a summer party or backyard barbecue without baked beans??? 🙂
I have to admit that I love making side dishes: whether they’re hot and in casserole form, or cold as in salad or appetizer form, I enjoy making side dishes probably even more than making desserts–and I LOVE making desserts. But over the years, I’ve been called upon to make side dishes a lot, so I have tons of recipes in my cookbooks and on my computer.
I didn’t include any of my hummus recipes in this collection, although some may enjoy those kinds of recipes for holiday bashes as well. I have about ten hummus recipes posted so, if you’re interested, you can search my blog for them.
I also didn’t include any hot dips or appetizers–mostly cold stuff. The only hot dishes I include in 50+ Memorial Day Side Dishes are the baked beans recipes.
If you’re looking for some fantastic ideas on food to bring to your Memorial Day parties, then consider some of these excellent choices. I’ve included 56 of my favorite Memorial Day Side Dishes. Most of them are finger lickin’ good, too! 🙂
