Restaurant-Style Salsa
Gluten Free Living – 2015
I’ve got a scrumptious recipe for you today. Pioneer Woman’s Restaurant-Style Salsa, no less! Yes, it is amazing and so, so very simple. It starts with canned tomatoes and diced tomatoes with green chilies, toss in some cilantro, lime, garlic, jalapeno pepper, onion and cumin and you’re in for one wild ride. Restaurant-Style Salsa is one of the best homemade salsa recipes you’ll ever eat.

The first time I tasted this recipe was a couple of years ago at one of the Charleston restaurants. A friend brought it for dinner along with Homemade Dinner Rolls. I had served Mexican Lasagna that night and served it along with Corn and Green Bean Casserole, Butternut Squash Bake and Raspberry Almond Bars. I begged her for both of those recipes and promptly got them. Although I’ve made the rolls several times, this is the first time I finally got around to making the salsa.
We had a group of youth from our church over for a swim party last month, so I thought this would be a great time to make up some salsa and chips. One taste and I was hooked. This salsa is the real deal. Everyone gobbled it down like crazy. Not only that, Restaurant-Style Salsa is healthy, low calorie, gluten free and vegan!
If you’re in the mood for a quick Tex-Mex fix, I can’t recommend this salsa highly enough. The flavors are superb and as I stated earlier, it’s just so E-A-S-Y. Give it a try and you’ll see for yourself.
Pioneer Woman’s Restaurant Style Salsa is incredibly good for any kind of party.
All the kids loved this salsa recipe.
Restaurant-Style Salsa is so quick and easy to make. About 5-10 minutes is all it takes!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Layer all the ingredients into a blender. Squeeze half of a lime over top.
Pulse 10-15 times or until you achieve the desired consistency.
Pour salsa into a serving bowl. Serve.
Serve Restaurant-Style Salsa with tortilla chips or as a side for any Tex-Mex dish like Fajitas or Breakfast Burritos.
Here’s the recipe.

[…] Restaurant Style Salsa – so much better than the restaurants in my area! Just saying! My hubby likes it hot, so I make sure I add the can of hot chilies, and I throw in extra jalapenos with the seeds. As my youngest says…it will make your nose run. Of course, you can go mild, but seriously, be adventurous! Go hot! Since we still need to be selective about carbs, we read that blue corn tortilla chips is a better option than most. My hubby doesn’t see the blood sugar spikes when he eats those. […]

Hi, Megan. I’ve never frozen this recipe before, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t freeze well. Just stir well after thawing and you should be good to go.
