Best Chocolate Chip Peach Cookies
Best Chocolate Chip Peach Cookies are incredibly amazing. I bet you didn’t know that peaches and chocolate work really, really well together. No kidding. I hauled out my niece, Heather’s, Best Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe and added peaches to the batter and voila! A really scrumptious cookie resulted from the pairing. These cookies had everything I love about Chocolate Chip Cookies but with a delightful peachy flavor that added a lovely essence to them. Yes, chocolate and peaches are superb together.

Many of you know I’ve been using our home grown peaches in lots of luscious dessert recipes. When I was trying to decide each evening what I would be baking the next day, adding peaches to my Best Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe was a news flash that I couldn’t get out of my mind. I was so glad I went with that idea because these turned out heavenly.
I packed them up with many of our our desserts and froze them, and then John gave them away to some folks in the St. Louis area last month. I got high praise for these delicious cookies. I will be honest with you. As much as I love baking desserts, I was glad when the peach trees were empty and I could start making real food again. 🙂 Obviously, desserts have their place, but normally, I make a lot more dinner-type stuff than desserts these days and most of it is a lot healthier and doesn’t tempt me so horribly.
I am almost done posting peach desserts (finally), but I hope you will look through my treasure trove and try out a few of those peachy treats. I didn’t end up with one flop. All of them turned out quite well and worthy of your consideration–especially now that peaches are at the end of the season.
If you’re looking for a delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie with peaches in the batter, then you’ve come to the right place. Best Chocolate Chip Peach Cookies are the real deal. Everyone who tastes them will be smacking their lips and wanting two, or three, or four more! 🙂
Best Chocolate Chip Peach Cookies have a heavenly combination of flavors.
Each bite contains chocolate chips, peaches and walnuts. Yum.
If you’re looking for a sensational cookie for your next party or potluck, Best Chocolate Chip Peach Cookies are a great option.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Don’t be surprised if the mixture fizzes. That’s the baking soda being activated by the hot water. Set aside.
Place softened butter, eggs, sugar, brown sugar, salt and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
Add baking soda mixture.
Cream ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add finely, diced peaches, finely chopped walnuts, and chocolate chips.
Stir ingredients with a wooden spoon to combine.
Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray. With a 1/4 cup ice cream scoop, scoop dough and place on prepared cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until done. These were whoppers. Smaller cookies will take less baking time.
Best Chocolate Chip Peach Cookies bake up beautifully and taste wonderfully.
These cookies are great for snacks and tailgating.
Here’s the recipe.

How would you adjust these for high elevation? (6035 ft) I followed the recipe w/o any tweeking and they spread like crazy… Sigh! Are they supposed to be somewhat cakey,or more like a normal chocolate chip cookie?

Hi, Karen, I think all recipes need to be altered for high elevation. I’m pretty sure you reduce the sugar and change the soda/baking powder amounts.
