Yes, it’s that time of year again. The time I bake thousands of cookies for friends, family and co-workers during our Christmas Cookie Extravaganza. I spent three weeks on my feet with non-stop baking. I’m finally finished baking and the recipes will be cranked out over the next few weeks.
I made all kinds of cookies, but I have to admit this year was heavy on the chocolate. Last year it seemed I was heavy on the peppermint, but I didn’t make one peppermint cookie this year. I did throw in some lemon cookies and some super easy Strawberry and Gingerbread cookies that everyone raved over. Anyway there were about 20 different cookies that I hope to publish before Christmas.
I know it takes a little bit more time to smash the Oreos with a rolling pin rather than putting them in the food processor, but it leaves big chunks that way. That’s the texture you really want–not fine crumbs. If you don’t have a rolling pin, then try cutting them into sixths or eighths, but don’t use your food processor.
If you want a spectacular cookie to wow your friends and family, give these Best M&M Oreo Cookies a go this year. Prepare to drool! 🙂
Best M&M Oreo Cookies combine the best of two worlds–Oreos & M&Ms. Oh, my.
These were one of our favorite cookies this Christmas season. They were very well received by our neighbors.
If you love Oreos and M&Ms, these delectable cookies are for you!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Soften butter. Add sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Mix with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Smash Oreos in a ziplock bag with a rolling pin. (I don’t like doing this in a food processor because the crumbs become too fine).
Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add crushed Oreos and M&Ms.
Stir with spoon until ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Roll dough into balls. Place on cookie sheets sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 350 about 13-15 minutes or until done. (I was baking four racks at a time with 24 cookies per cookie sheet. My cookies took about 24 minutes to bake).
These cookies are loaded with sugar. Prepare for a sugar high!
If you love M&Ms and Oreos, this is the cookie for you!
Best M&M Oreo Cookies are perfect for holiday baking, Christmas Cookie Exchanges and even tailgating parties.
These cookies are a chocolate lover’s delight!
