Easy Waldorf Salad
Gluten Free Living – 2019
Easy Waldorf Salad is fantastic. This luscious fruit salad is filled with grapes, celery, raisins, walnuts and apples. It has a light whipped topping base that makes it smooth and creamy. On top of that, it really is an easy recipe, just like the name implies.

This is another recipe I found in one of my Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. I had everything on had to whip it up for a dinner menu I was planning. But I knew the mayonnaise as the base would never work. I decided to swap out the mayonnaise for non-dairy whipped topping. I was glad I did. The salad still had all the creaminess, but not the yukky flavors of mayonnaise.
Hey, I can enjoy mayonnaise in salad dressings (sometimes). But as a general rule, I prefer it on my hamburgers or sandwiches and nothing else. My husband refuses to eat any casserole that has mayonnaise in the ingredients. So I didn’t think he’d like fruit salad with mayonnaise either. And he loves any kind of fluffy fruity salad. (He would eat that over dessert any day).
I ended up making this for our church’s college group one Sunday night. I brought along some Quick Sourdough Bread and a fruit tray. Our hosts provided everything else. Everybody enjoyed this recipe and ate seconds and thirds. Our college group loves salads, fruit, hummus and especially healthy foods. Yes, they’ll eat the sweets and junk, but more often then not, it’s the salads and healthy foods that get cleaned out totally each week. Go figure. 🙂
Easy Waldorf Salad is the perfect salad for holiday menus like Christmas, Thanksgiving or even Easter. It really is so easy to whip up and it’s one of those salads everyone enjoys. It has just enough crunch, just enough sweetness, and just enough creaminess to make it super special. This is a salad that can be made in under 10 minutes. I hope you give it a try.

Your recipe for Easy Waldorf Salad (looks delicious) doesn’t give amounts of each ingredient. Am I missing something or is the website having problems.
Thanks for your help,

Hi, Rae. Yes, we updated the plug-in for the recipe card a few days ago, and apparently all the drafts are going to have to be redone every time I publish to fix it. Sorry. It’s fixed now.
