Twix Candy Bar Pie
Twix Candy Bar Pie is downright sensational. Truly. I made about ten different candy bar pies back in November, and this one was my favorite hands down. I’m not sure why. I’ve never even eaten Twix Candy Bars before. The caramel and chocolate flavors of this decadent candy bar really shone through in this amazing dessert. Every bite totally satisfied.

I had my husband pick up all kinds of candy bars after Halloween when they were on close out. He brought home several bags of Twix Candy Bars. It wasn’t on my list of stuff to bake from, but I’m sure glad I took a chance. The Twix Candy Bar Pie was a huge hit with everyone. The texture was slightly differently from the other candy bar pies. Plus, this one wasn’t over the top rich like some of them.
I served this for our college group one Sunday night for dinner. I also brought a Butterfinger Pie. The kids were hard-pressed to tell me which was their favorite. I was certainly surprised when many chose this one over the Butterfinger Pie! It’s not that the Butterfinger Pie wasn’t spectacular. It was. But this one was terrific in it’s own right. I think I was the only one who had never eat Twix Candy Bars before baking these pies. (I’m not a huge candy eater. I rarely eat it unless it’s in cookies, cake or pie.) 🙂
Twix Candy Bar Pie is perfect for company or holiday dinners, like Valentine’s Day. It’s also great for special occasions. But if you want a chocolate or caramel fix, then this is the dessert for you. After one bite, you’ll close your eyes and begin swooning. It’s that good.
I loved Twix Candy Bar Pie.
I had never eaten Twix Candy Bars before, but they were certainly delightful in this pie.
All that caramel and chocolate goodness was spectacular.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Roll out pie crust.
Fit pie crust into pie shell and flute edges. Set aside.
Beat eggs in a mixing bowl until frothy. This will take between 3 and 5 minutes.
Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add sugar and brown sugar.
Mix with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add melted butter.
Mix with an electric mixer again until butter is incorporated. Be careful of splatters!
Add 2 cups chopped Twix Candy Bars.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Pour filling into unbaked pie shell.
Bake in a preheated 325 oven for 45 minutes. Remove from oven.
Add remaining cup of chopped Twix Candy Bars.
Bake another 30 minutes or until pie is set.
Twix Candy Bar Pie is rich, decadent and absolutely heavenly.
Every bite was wonderful. So many people raved over this scrumptious pie.
It was good with ice cream and chocolate syrup drizzled over top, too. 🙂
Here’s the recipe.
