Twix Candy Bar Cookies
My, my, my. Twix Candy Bar Cookies are the BEST. These scrumptious cookies take one of my favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough recipes and add Twix Candy Bars. They are sensational. Seriously. They have all that ooey, gooey caramel taste from the candy bars, plus a little chocolate thrown in. Yes, yes, yes!

Our church hosts a big Christmas party for our town in early December each year. We call it Christmas in Ovilla. We have several bounce houses, snow ramps, a petting farm for the kids, visits with Santa, and food. We usually grill Kosher hot dogs and then bring in a massive amount of cookies. At least half of them are home baked. I made several hundred of these Twix Candy Bar Cookies for the event.
My word. Everyone raved over these spectacular cookies. People kept coming back and asking me if there were any more. Could they have a second, or a third? Yes, we obliged them. Not everyone who came (about 1,500 people) got one, but a lot of folks did. All I had to say to everyone was, “They have Twix Candy Bars inside,” and they were “sold!”
I asked my husband to load up on Halloween candy after the holiday was over. I wanted to make lots of pies and cookies with the candy for the holidays. He must have bought enough candy to stuff a 55 gallon trash can! I had candy coming out my ears. I made Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cookies, all kinds of Snickers Cookies, Baby Ruth Cookies and Butterfinger Cookies. But I think these Twix Candy Bar Cookies were my favorite. I’m not sure why. I’ve never tasted Twix Candy Bars before making my Twix Candy Bar Pie and these cookies in December 2019. All I can say is, WOW!
Okay, these are solid cookies. They’re not so fragile that you can barely pick them up like a lot of Tollhouse Cookies are. I purposely made them whoppers. You can just about make a meal out of them. I know the recipe calls for a lot of flour. They do have a lot. But there is a lot of oil and sugar in the candy bars. That makes the cookies spread a lot. If you don’t have enough flour, the cookies won’t set up and will run on the cookie sheet. They are also too fragile that way so it’s hard to get them out of the pan.
I actually pack the cookie dough into the cookie scoop. That makes sure the ingredients adhere together. Anyway, they end up perfectly. (As I ,and hundreds of other folks who have tried these cookies, can attest).
Twix Candy Bar Cookies are the real deal. If you need a fantastic dessert for your next tailgating party, potluck or summer holiday fun, choose this one. You will be so glad you did. They are melt-in-your-mouth good and a chocolate and caramel lover’s delight.
Twix Candy Bar Cookies are outrageously good.
These cookies are filled with Twix Candy Bars. They’re sensational. 🙂
If you enjoy caramel and chocolate, you’ll love these cookies.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Soften two sticks of butter. Place in a mixing bowl with sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt and baking soda.
Mix ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add UNBLEACHED flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add Twix Candy Bars.
Stir ingredients very well to combine.
Scoop dough and press ingredients down with fingers into a one-quarter cup cookie scoop. (Cram the dough in there!)
Place on greased cookie sheets leaving enough room for the cookies to spread.
Bake at 350 for 13-15 minutes or until done. Rotate cookies on racks every six minutes while baking. My cookies took 18-20 minutes to bake completely.
Eat and enjoy.
Every bite will have you drooling.
The hundreds of people who sampled these cookies at our Christmas celebration raved over these cookies.
Here’s the recipe.
