Peach, Fig and Feta Salad
Gluten Free Living – 2022
If you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, you know how much I enjoy salads. We eat Chopped Greek Salad every week! But this Peach, Fig and Feta Salad turned out incredibly well also. This salad has plenty of sweetness from the peaches, grapes and figs. The savory flavors come from roasted pecans, Feta cheese, cucumbers and celery. A little finely diced red onion adds a little pop. Overall, this is one terrific salad.

A few months ago I was looking every where for fresh figs. I was craving them. 🙂 Apparently, they are harvested around December, so I began looking for dried figs instead. I found some at our local Sprouts and decided to give this recipe a whirl. I used a blend of spring mix and arugula for the lettuce. Arugula is naturally bitter, so adding the spring mix off-set that a lot. Plus, having the fruit made a difference.
I used two different salad dressings that I purchased at a local Walmart. Cindy’s Kitchen has a Fig Balsamic Dressing and a Honey Mango Pepper Dressing which includes habanero peppers. It’s REALLY hot and spicy. Enough to burn your tongue off. But it’s also really delicious! Both dressings worked really well. But any kind of poppyseed or honey mustard dressing would also pair nicely with this salad combination.
I used white flesh peaches from early in the season. But now that peach season is over, I recommend trying canned peaches instead. Peach, Fig and Feta Salad is healthy and gluten free. It’s a delightful gourmet-type salad that’s wonderful for company or holiday dinners. And I may even make a fig lover out of you after one bite of this fantastic salad. 🙂
Peach, Fig and Feta Salad is outstanding!
I can eat dried figs by the handful!
This salad is really good with a sweet dressing rather than Ranch or something with a strongly pungent flavor.
Every bite is mouthwatering. You may even want seconds. 🙂
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Combine spring mix lettuce and arugula in a large salad bowl.
Spread pecan halves on a cookie sheet.
Roast pecans in oven or toaster oven at 350 degrees for about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside to cool.
Wash, Slice and pit peaches. These are white-flesh peaches.
Swirl the peach slices in lemon juice and remove to paper towels to drain.
Layer peach slices, figs, grapes, cucumber, roasted pecans, diced celery and finely diced red onion over top of the lettuce in the salad bowl.
Sprinkle with Feta Cheese. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
This salad was delicious with a hot, spicy salad dressing.
Peach, Fig and Feta Salad is healthy and low calorie.
The crunchiness from the roasted pecans, celery and cucumbers provided a great contrast with the different textures from the figs, peaches and grapes.
Peach, Fig and Feta Salad is one of those gourmet-type salads that’s a scrumptious offering for company or holiday dinners.
Here’s the recipe.

Peach, Fig and Feta Salad is so amazing. We loved this fabulous side dish.
If you have fig trees, this is a spectacular way to use them in recipes!
At the time, the only kind of peaches I could find available at the store were these beautiful white-flesh peaches. But any kind of peach will work.
Almost any kind of sweet salad dressing will work on Peach, Fig and Feta Salad. Sweeter dressings actually work better than blander dressings like Ranch or highly seasoned dressings like Italian.
