Steaks with Savory Steak Rub
Gluten Free Living – 2024
I’ve been trying lots of new recipes lately and especially new ways to make steak. These Steaks with Savory Steak Rub were delicious. The recipe is so easy – using only a handful of seasonings along with New York Strip Steaks. Rub the seasonings into the steaks and grill away!

I made these steaks with a scrumptious Garlic Mashed Turnips recipe. I also made Grilled Herbed Broccoli, Garlic Parmesan Asparagus and Rutabaga Fries. We also grilled Steaks with Peppery Onions that day. It was all so, so good. This steak recipe is a healthy option for steak without all the gravy or sauces that add hidden calories. Steak has enough calories anyway without adding a lot more. Grilling the steaks is so easy for me–I let my husband do all the work! Ha, ha!
Now that spring is here and summer is approaching, Steak with Savory Steak Rub is a great way to enjoy backyard barbecues and grilling out with friends. I think the rub would work well on pork chops and chicken too. This is a great gluten free entree that’s stars marjoram in the seasonings. If you’ve never used marjoram in recipes before, you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s a dynamite season that makes everything better. Enjoy.
Steaks with Savory Steak Rub is a great way to enjoy steak on the grill.
I served it with Grilled Herbed Broccoli and Garlic Parmesan Asparagus–both of which were grilled, saving a lot of time and energy.
This is a really tasty and savory rub for steaks.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Place seasonings on a plate.
Stir to combine well.
Coat both sides of steaks with the Savory Steak Rub.
There is just enough rub for four large steaks.
Stack the steaks on a plate and grill over medium heat.
I cooked the steaks over medium temperature.
Turn steaks over and cook on other side. Grill to desired doneness for rare, medium rare, medium or well-done.
Remove to a serving platter and serve!
We also grilled peaches and baked sweet potatoes to go along with the Garlic Mashed Turnips, Grilled Herbed Broccoli and Garlic Parmesan Asparagus.
Steaks with Savory Steak Rub is so easy to whip up on nights when you’re short on time to have dinner ready.
Steak is my favorite meat of choice, so I love finding different ways to enjoy eating it!
Here’s the recipe.
