Blueberry Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls
I have always loved my Mom’s Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls. She made them whenever she baked pies (at least once or twice a week) when we were growing up. I was married about 15 years when a friend made them with assorted jams and preserves inside and that’s when I started making them that way too. Blueberry Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls are one of those delightful versions.

For Mother’s Day, I made a Strawberry Pie (for my daughter-in-law) and some of these Blueberry Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls. I also served the Cinnamon Rolls for our Hostess Committee at church that morning since it was our shift to work. They were an absolute rave at church. Everyone loved them and wanted more!
Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls are easy enough to make. Roll out pie crust–homemade or store bought. Spread with butter and a mixture of cinnamon-sugar. Then dab on bits of jelly or preserves (any flavor). Roll up the cinnamon rolls and then bake them up. I make only one correction to the pictures you see here. I crowded the rolls together too closely. They really need room to expand.
I have featured several different flavors of Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls on my blog. Those include: Strawberry, Raspberry, Apricot, Apple Butter, Peach and Pumpkin. Regardless of which version you choose, this is a down-home vintage recipe you and your family are sure to love for breakfast or for snacks throughout the day. (And I really mean throughout the day because you’ll be sneaking into the kitchen for another one ALL DAY LONG! 🙂
Blueberry Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls are sensational!
If you use a store-bought pie crust, these cinnamon rolls can be ready for the oven in just a few minutes and baked in about 30.
Every bite is so tantalizing you’ll be running to the kitchen frequently for another tasty treat!
If you enjoy blueberry anything, you’ll rave over these Blueberry Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls!
Here’s what I did.
Besides a Homemade Pie Crust recipe, I used these ingredients.
Roll out your pie crust.
Spread softened butter thickly over the top.
Measure out granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Stir very well to combine.
Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top of the buttered crust.
Spread dabs of blueberry jelly or preserves over top of the cinnamon-sugar layer.
Roll up the dough very carefully so it doesn’t tear.
Here it is completely rolled up.
I should have placed these rolls in two different pans because they expand a lot while baking. You don’t want to crowd the rolls.
Bake at 300 degrees approximately 30-40 minutes or until light brown and the crust has cooked.
When we were kids, we used to enjoy eating Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls right out of the pan while hot (and consequently would burn our fingers!)
Seriously, Blueberry Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls are drool-worthy!
You’ll be captivated from the very first bite!
Blueberry Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls were a hit when we served them to our Church Hostess Committee on Mother’s Day.
Here’s the recipe.
