Okay, I admit I’ve been on a cake mix cookie binge lately. I can’t help it. They are so, so easy to whip up. Seriously, who doesn’t like a four-ingredient recipe? I bake a lot of cookies or brownies for John to give away as gifts. So I’m baking cookies constantly.
We’ve decided to give away cookie baskets to our neighbors again this year (160 of them). We’re giving each family a dozen different kinds of cake mix cookies. They bake up perfectly and freeze wonderfully for later.
Last year we skipped our regular Christmas Cookie Extravaganza. My oldest son got married during the time I would normally be baking. I knew I wouldn’t have time. So it’s been almost two years since I’ve done cookie baking on this scale and I’m ready!
Cherry Chocolate Cookies are delightful for Christmas cookie exchanges or holiday baking. But you can purchase this cake mix year round, so these are easy enough to make any time. Give them a try. These mouthwatering cookies will have you hooked after the first bite.
Cherry Chocolate Cookies are sensational!
Yes, I could have eaten this many!
Cherry Chocolate Cookies are terrific for Christmas Cookie Exchanges.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Place cake mix into a mixing bowl. Add eggs and canola oil.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Add semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray. Roll dough into balls and place on greased cookie sheets. I had to keep my hands slightly moist while rolling.
Bake at 350 for 13-15 minutes or until done. I had three cookie sheets baking at once so I baked mine about 18-20 minutes.
Rotate cookie sheets on racks every 6-8 minutes while baking.
Cherry Chocolate Cookies will cure any sweet tooth craving you have. 🙂
These delightful cookies are so easy to whip up, you may find them your go-to cookie throughout the year.
You’ll be drooling from the first bite.

Hi, Beth. I think we usually get it at Kroger, although this time of year you may find it at Walmart.
