Chipped Beef Dip
Gluten Free Living – 2023
Chipped Beef Dip is a wonderful Keto-friendly dip that goes great with crackers, bagel chips, fresh veggies like celery or carrot sticks or even spread on croissants! This delicious dip includes cream cheese, sour cream, olives, Buddig’s beef and a little bit of onion powder to add an extra dose of flavor. This is one of those dips that you really need to leave out an hour or two before serving so the cream cheese softens enough to serve.

The first time I tried this delicious appetizer was New Year’s Eve right before Y2K! (That’s the year 2,000 for those of you who weren’t around then. We were at a friend’s house playing cards that evening and Connie had several delicious appetizers and desserts for us to gorge on. I asked for a couple of recipes that night and this has been a favorite since.
This tasty appetizer uses only a handful of ingredients. It’s quick and easy to whip up and is terrific to serve for tailgating parties, potlucks, backyard barbecues or even special sporting events like the Super Bowl, March Madness, NBA Finals or if you’re into hockey, the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
I took it to a Christmas party last year along with some Philly Cheesesteak Pizza Cups and my favorite Chunky Homemade Guacamole recipe. We had so many delicious appetizers that night along with a really luscious dessert or two. And yes, we gorged on everything. 🙂
This is really a great dip to serve for company. It’s an excellent choice for your Keto or Celiac friends especially if you serve it with a veggie tray. Just remember to set it out on the counter an hour or two before serving so the cream cheese is soft enough to spread. 🙂

Chipped Beef Dip is better served at room temperature. The cream cheese spreads a lot easier that way.
This Keto-friendly, gluten free appetizer is so simple to make but so delightful to gorge on!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients. Buddig Beef is usually found in the lunchmeat section of the grocery store.
Place softened cream cheese, sour cream and onion powder in a mixing bowl.
Mix ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Rinse the beef in water. Stack the beef and then cut it down in thin strips.
Add the beef strips and drained ripe olives.
Stir ingredients really well to combine.
Allow Chipped Beef Dip to stay at room temperature before serving (unless you don’t plan to eat this for several hours. Refrigerate in that case).
I served Chipped Beef Dip with an assortment of crackers and bagel chips.
