Strawberry Angel Trifle
Every now and then you hit upon a recipe that astounds you! I’ve done that with this fabulous Strawberry Angel Trifle dessert. Whether you make it in a trifle dish or a 9×13″ glass baking dish, it’s absolutely superb. On top of that, it’s one of the most luscious 5-ingredient recipes ever! This one uses an angel food cake, cream cheese, powdered sugar, Cool Whip and strawberry pie filling. If you choose to decorate the top before serving, you can always add some fresh strawberries and mint. Regardless, this is one exceptionally amazing dessert that everyone will love.

I have made several of these scrumptious angel trifle desserts now. The first one I tried was blueberry. Since then, I’ve made a raspberry, peach and this wonderful strawberry version. All of them are awesome. And considering you only use five ingredients and the dessert can be whipped up in about 10 minutes, it’s a win-win recipe for me!
I made this Strawberry Angel Trifle twice. The first time I made one for my son and daughter-in-law after the birth of their second child. I actually made two of them and gave one to a neighbor as well. The third time I planned to make it for my other son and his family around the Fourth of July, but couldn’t find strawberry pie filling so I ended up making a Cherry Angel Trifle, instead. Of course, the kids loved it!
If you need a really easy and simple dessert for holiday celebrations, company dinners or for a backyard barbecue, this spectacular dessert is sure to wow everyone! It’s that good. 🙂

If you enjoy strawberry-flavored desserts, you’ll love this one.
Every bite is spectacular.
It’s hard to believe this beautiful dessert uses only 5 ingredients!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Remove the angel food cake from container.
Slice the cake in half horizontally. Then slice the slices carefully in half. Finally cut each slice in one-inch cubes. Set aside.
Place softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl.
Cream with an electric mixer until smooth. If desired, you can add the Cool Whip now and cream again.
Add Cool Whip (if you didn’t mix it in with the other ingredients) and the angel food cake cubes.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Place half of the angel food cake mixture in a trifle dish (for you can place in a 9×13″ baking dish).
Spread one can of strawberry pie filling over top of the angel food cake cube mixture.
Cover the strawberry pie filling with remaining angel food cake cube mixture.
Top mixture with the second can of strawberry pie filling.
Spoon additional Cool Whip over top of the strawberry pie filling, being sure to leave about a two-inch border around the dish. Decorate with fresh strawberries and mint, if desired.
Here’s what the dessert looks like in a baking dish.
