Chocolate lovers and peanut butter lovers will love this marriage between Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and one of the best chocolate chip cookie dough recipes on the planet! I love Todd Wilbur’s copycat recipe as it’s one of the richest chocolate chip cookie doughs I’ve had the pleasure of working with. And the taste–nothing short of amazing!

I made up a batch of these a couple of weeks ago for John to give as gifts to some folks he was visiting in the Atlanta area. Each container had six of these delicious brownies as well as Praline Brookies, Oreo Cookie Surprises, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Surprise Brownies. I got rave reviews from one sweet gal who thought my “gourmet” brownies were just awesome.

All I can say is you’ll be hard pressed to keep your hands out of the cookie jar if you make up a batch of these amazing treats! Chocolate and peanut butter really do go together so well.

If you’re looking for a great tasting brownie and you love the flavors of chocolate chip cookie dough and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups then look no farther than this wonderful recipe. Any of your friends who are so lucky as to receive any of these goodies will be coming back for more!

Consider making up a batch of these for the big Super Bowl game or your next tailgating party. You will be licking your fingers in no time.

These look absolutely delicious! Question for you…does it have to be a glass baking dish? Have you ever made it in a 9×13 metal pan?

    1. Teresa

      September 26, 2022 at 7:39 am

Hi Andrea. I stopped using the metal pans a decade ago because aluminum and teflon pans lead to forms of dementia (and I was starting to loose memory). I reversed course (got rid of all my pots and pans and as many of aluminum things I could) and don’t suffer from memory loss any more. You absolutely can use a metal pan, my personal preference is glass, ceramic, cast iron (that sort of thing). But they may heat differently, so things may cook more slowly in glass verses metal. Keep an eye on your time. 🙂

Ever try to add vegetable shortening to these to make them a bit fluffier?

    1. Teresa

      June 10, 2016 at 4:54 pm

Sorry, Matthew, I try not to use shortening or margarine very much any more since they’re both so unhealthy. Only a few of my older recipes use either ingredient. Thanks for stopping by.

Can you cut the recipe in half

        1. Teresa

          March 7, 2018 at 2:20 pm

Hi, Denise. Yes, I would put it in an 8×12 or 9×9″ glass baking dish instead. Check cooking time. You will probably have to start checking the time about every 5 minutes after the first 20 minutes of cooking time elapses. Hope you enjoy them.

These are by far the best dessert I’ve ever had. And I have a serious sweet tooth so I’ve made many desserts. I made 3 batches in a matter of 2 weeks to share with people bc they’re so good! I halved the first 2 batches and used an 8×8 glass dish. 3rd Batch I made the full recipe. I used Hershey’s milk instead of semi sweet chips.

    Teresa,

I wanted to let you know that I’m the gal in Atlanta that John brought the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cookies to and visited with me and my husband (Randy) after I had feet surgery. Those cookies were absolutely awesome, a surprise with every bite! Thank you for sending them to me all the way from Texas to Atlanta, they absolutely made me feel better!
Thank you for your ministry, and how you use your talents to make others feel better! Those cookies were a sweet surprise and you and John are a blessing!

    Thank you
    Tammy

Hi Teresa, Unfortunately I don’t have a store front, but just a commercial kitchen that I use. I would sure love to meet you, though, if you have time. Do you think you would have time to meet for coffee, or dessert, or even stop by my house for ice tea? I understand if you don’t have that much time, though. Vacations can be very hectic. Just let me know. Also, if you need any recommendations for restaurants, hotels, hikes, etc., I’d be glad to give you some.

    1. Teresa

      January 27, 2014 at 9:59 pm

I’d love to meet you Shari and was so hoping this would work out, but now it looks like my husband’s travel plans have changed since I first contacted you and we will be going to Missouri instead. If however, the meetings don’t overlap and we are able to make it to Phoenix in April, I will certainly let you know ahead of time and try to set up a time where we can meet. I’d love to have dessert with you or even take you and your family out for a meal. Right now everything is in flux but when I find out I’ll let you know one way or the other. Thanks again.

    2. Teresa

      January 27, 2014 at 10:03 pm

Guess what? My husband just checked his schedule again and his other meetings are on both sides of the week I was initially thinking. Check your schedule for April 25-26–we may stay thru to the 27th but not sure. We may be able to work something in (if he doesn’t have hip surgery that would prohibit the trip altogether). I will let you know as we get closer to that date.

      1. Shari Kelley

        January 29, 2014 at 8:55 pm

That is great, Teresa! Those dates in April work fine for me. Just let me know as the time gets closer, but I will keep those days in mind just in case. Also, feel free to e-mail me any time at azkelleys@gmail.com.
