Maple Pecan Pie

Maple Pecan Pie is one scrumptious pie! This rich and decadent pie only takes about five to ten minutes to whip up. It's made with real maple syrup instead of corn syrup giving it superior taste. This is a spectacular dessert for company and holiday menus. Every bite will have you drooling.

Equipment

  • 1 9-inch pie plate
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 wooden spoon
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted (1/2 stick)
  • 1 rounded cup whole pecan halves
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup real maple syrup NOT corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in mixing bowl.
  • Add eggs, vanilla, granulated sugar, maple syrup and salt; stir to combine.
  • Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  • Sprinkle whole pecans on top.
  • Bake at 350° for about 50-60 minutes or until set.

Notes

NOTE: I used a rounded cup of whole pecan halves. This probably equated to about 1 ¼ cups to 1 1/3 cups whole pecan halves.
 
NOTE: My pies took between 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 20 minutes to bake completely.
 
NOTEThis pie requires real maple syrup NOT corn syrup.
