Oreo Cookie Almond Joy Ice Cream Pie

Oreo Cookie Almond Joy Ice Cream Pie is absolutely sensational. This delicious ice cream dessert combines the best of Oreo cookies and Almond Joy Bars but in an ice cream pie to die for! It's rich, decadent and so heavenly. It's the perfect dessert for Mother's Day, Father's Day or other special occasions. Our company raves over this dessert every time we make it!

Equipment

  • 1 rollin pin
  • 1 zip lock bag to crush the Oreo cookies in
  • 1 9-inch deep dish pie plate
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 wooden spoon
  • measuring cups

Ingredients
  

  • 20 oreo cookies finely crushed (reserve one to two tablespoons crushed cookies for garnish)
  • 3 to 4 tbsp. unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 gallon chocolate chip ice cream softened
  • 1/2 cup almonds sliced or slivered
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/4 cup chocolate sauce for garnish, if desired
  • 8 maraschino cherries for garnish, if desired

Instructions
 

  • Crush Oreos in zip lock bag with rolling pin.
  • Reserve one to two tablespoons crushed Oreos for garnish and set aside.
  • To remaining Oreos, add melted butter.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Press into a 9” pie plate.
  • Mix ice cream, almonds and coconut together.
  • Spread ice cream mixture into pie shell.
  • Sprinkle top with reserved Oreos.
  • Freeze several hours or overnight.
  • Can garnish with chocolate sauce and maraschino cherries, if desired.

Notes

NOTE: I crushed the Oreo cookies whole with the cream inside and used all of it for the crust and topping.
 
NOTE: Or you can use one pre-made Oreo cookie crust. Omit butter.
