This amazing dessert has four layers of incredible deliciousness! The first layer is a nutty crust layer. The second layer is a cheesecake layer. The third layer is a Key Lie Pie filling layer. Then the top layer includes non-dairy whipped topping, nuts and lime zest. It's the perfect dessert for holidays like Mother's Day or Father's Day.
42oz. canLucky Leaf Key Lime Pie filling(two 21-oz. cans)
LAYER 4 - TOPPING LAYER:
8oz. ctn.non dairy whipped toppingthawed
1key limegrated very fine (you will not use all of it)
1/3cuppecansfinely diced (more or less, as desired)
Instructions
LAYER 1 - CRUST LAYER:
Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl and press into a greased 9x13” glass baking dish.
Bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes.
Cool completely before adding next layer.
LAYER 2 - CHEESECAKE LAYER:
Combine ingredients in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer until smooth.
Spread over top of cooled crust layer.
LAYER 3 - KEY LIME PIE LAYER:
Spoon key lime pie filling evenly over top of cream cheese layer.
LAYER 4 - TOPPING LAYER:
Spread whipped topping over top of key lime pie filling layer.
Sprinkle with pecans and grated lime zest.
Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Notes
NOTE: You must allow the crust layer to cool completely before adding the cheesecake layer.NOTE: If you freeze the dessert, set it out about an hour before serving.NOTE: You may leave off the grated lime on the top layer, if desired.
