This fabulous salad starts with the traditional bacon, lettuce and tomatoes, but adds avocados, shaved parmesan cheese, red onion and homemade gluten free croutons. It's wonderful served with a creamy Caesar dressing.
18oz. bagRomaine lettuce(or your favorite kind of lettuce) three 6-ounce bags
10oz. containergrape tomatoeshalved lengthwise
3avocadospitted, peeled and sliced
1/3cupred oniondiced
10oz. pkg.uncured nitrate free baconcooked and broken into 1-inch pieces
1cupparmesan cheeseshaved
2cupsHomemade Gluten Free Croutonsor your favorite croutons
1 1/2cupsCaesar dressingor Creamy Parmesan Dressing of your choice
Instructions
Cook bacon in large skillet over medium heat and set aside.
Be careful not to scorch the bacon by cooking too long or at too high of a temperature.
Layer salad, tomatoes, avocados, onion and parmesan cheese in salad bowl.
Add cooked bacon pieces.
Toss with Creamy Parmesan Dressing or Caesar dressing before serving.
Garnish with homemade croutons.
