Reese's Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reese's Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies are the ultimate in chocolate cookies. These lovely cookies are filled with peanut butter chips making for one spectacular cookie. The combination of chocolate and peanut butter will have you craving more and more of these tasty jewels. This is a great dessert to serve for any occasion, including birthdays, holidays, tailgating parties or other family events. I usually serve them in our yearly Christmas Cookie baskets.

Equipment

  • 2 18x26" cookie sheet pans
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 electric mixer
  • 1 wooden spoon
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • 1 1/4 cup cookie scoop
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup Cocoa
  • 2 1/2 cups UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour bleached flour toughens cookies and cakes
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 12 oz. pkg. Reese's peanut butter chips

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cocoa, baking soda and salt with an electric mixer until well mixed.
  • Stir in UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour and either peanut butter chips or Reese’s mini pieces peanut butter candies until dough is thoroughly mixed.
  • Scoop dough with a one-quarter cup cookie scoop and place onto cookie sheets that have been sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes.
  • (Mine took 25 minutes because I had whoppers).
  • Rotate cookie sheets on racks every six minutes while baking.

Notes

NOTE: Be sure you do NOT use a dark pan to make these cookies or the reflection causes them to scorch on the bottoms, yet not be baked thoroughly.
