Paula Deen's Peach Cobbler is a delicious version of the classic. vintage Peach Cobbler recipes. This tasty cobbler is quick and easy and makes it's own magical crust because you don't stir the different layers as you pour them into your baking dish. Terrific summer dessert when peaches are in season.

4 cups peaches peeled and diced 2 cups granulated sugar divided use 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick) 1 1/2 cups UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour bleached flour toughens baked goods 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 cups 2% milk 1 tsp. cinnamon or as desired
Peel and slice peaches.
Combine peaches with one cup granulated sugar and the water and bring to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Set aside.
Melt butter in a 9x13” glass baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, stir to combine flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and remaining 1 cup granulated sugar.
Add milk very slowly and whisk so lumps don’t form.
Continue to whisk or stir in milk a few tablespoons at a time until thoroughly combined and mixed.
Evenly pour batter over melted butter in baking dish.
Do not stir.
Evenly spoon peaches and syrup over top of the batter in the dish.
Do not stir.
Sprinkle with cinnamon, as desired.
Bake at 350° for 35-45 minutes or until set.
