Crockpot Green Bean Casserole

This is NOT your traditional Green Bean Casserole recipe! This one includes water chestnuts, cream of celery soup, cheddar cheese and French fried onions. It's so easy because it's made in the slow cooker. Perfect for holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter.

1 wooden spoon

1 small mixing bowl
2 16-oz. pkg. French-style green beans frozen (or frozen whole green beans) 1 can cream of celery soup 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded 1 can water chestnuts sliced and drained 1/4 cup water 1 large can French fried onion rings divided use 1/3 cup cheddar cheese for garnish, if desired
Put green beans (frozen) in bottom of crock pot sprayed with cooking spray.
Combine soup, cheese, water chestnuts and water in a small mixing bowl.
Spoon mixture on top of green beans.
Sprinkle ½ can of onion rings on top.
Cook on low heat all day. (This depends on your crockpot. Mine only took about 4-5 hours).
Add remaining onion rings 20 minutes before done.
Top with cheddar cheese about 5 minutes before done.
Serve.
NOTE: Depending on your crockpot, this will take 6-10 hours to cook.
