4 large eggs 1 cup 2% milk 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 tsp. cinnamon 6-8 slices Cinnabon bread 1 tbsp. unsalted butter 1/4 cup powdered sugar as garnish 1/4 cup maple syrup as garnish
Heat griddle or skillet over medium heat.
Add a little butter and cover the surface of the pan.
Crack eggs into a medium sized bowl and whisk until beaten.
Stir in milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Dip bread slices into custard and submerge for about 10-15 seconds.
Lift bread out very carefully with both hands so it doesn’t tear.
Place in skillet or griddle.
Cook about 3-5 minutes on each side until bread becomes a golden brown.
Flip bread over with spatula and cook the other side about 3-5 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Cut bread on diagonal.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and glaze with maple syrup, if desired.
NOTE: Be extremely careful lifting the bread after dipping it in the custard. It is very fragile and will tear easily.
