Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies are insanely good! These amazing Chocolate Chip Cookies have chunks of Oreo cookies baked inside! Rich, decadent, awesome for holiday baking, tailgating parties, potlucks or backyard barbecues. If you enjoy chocolate chips and Oreos, these outrageous cookies will soon become your favorite dessert!

Equipment

  • 2 large 18x26" cookie sheet pans
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 electric mixer
  • 1 wooden spoon
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • 1 sharp knife or rolling pin to break up Oreo cookies
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 zip lock bag WITHOUT the "stand and fill" bottom

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. sea salt or kosher salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 1/2 cups UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour bleached flour toughens baked goods
  • 20 oreo cookies cut in eighths
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Blend butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt, and baking soda with a mixer until smooth.
  • Stir in UNBLEACHED flour, Oreo cookie pieces, and chocolate chips with a wooden spoon until very well combined.
  • Roll into balls and place on cookie sheets that have been sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake at 350° for about 12-14 minutes or until done.
  • Rotate cookie sheets on oven racks half way through baking time.
  • Cool completely.

Notes

NOTE: Actually, I removed my cookies from the oven while they were still rising (at 14 minutes baking time).
