Pay Day Chocolate Pie
Teresa Ambra
Pay Day Chocolate Pie is ultra swoon-worthy! This luscious Chocolate Pie is rich, decadent and so heavenly, it's irresistible. It uses only five ingredients including Pay Day Bars! The caramel nougat and peanuts combined with lots of chocolate is sensational. Terrific for a holiday or company dessert.

17.7 oz. Pay Day Bars divided use 1 1/2 cups half-and-half 5.85 oz. pkg. instant chocolate pudding 8 oz. Cool Whip or other non-dairy whipped topping 9 inch chocolate pie crust
Cut 4 Pay Day Bars in half lengthwise.
Set aside.
Coarsely chop remaining Pay Dar bars; reserve one-quarter cup for topping.
Set aside.
Combine pudding with half and half in large mixing bowl and whisk vigorously for two minutes.
Fold in Cool Whip topping.
Stir in all but ¼ cup chopped Pay Day bars.
Pour chocolate mixture into chocolate crust.
Place the eight Pay Day bar halves evenly around the edge of the pie.
Sprinkle reserved ¼ cup of coarsely chopped Pay Day Bars on top of pie.
Freeze for 6-8 hours before serving.
Remove from freezer about 10-15 minutes before serving.
NOTE: This recipe will not work in an eight-inch chocolate crumb crust. It needs a 9-inch chocolate crumb crust.
NOTE: Remove pie from freezer about 10-15 minutes before serving.
NOTE: The plastic lid will no longer fit on the pie because it will be too full. I recommend freezing the pie before covering it with any kind of plastic wrap so the wrap doesn't adhere to the pie filling.
