Butterfinger Ooey Gooey Bars are the ultimate in a chocolate and peanut butter delight! These luscious brownies have a cheesecake filling topped with chopped Butterfingers bars. They're rich, decadent and so drool-worthy, you'll be swooning over every bite. Try them for your next tailgating party and watch them disappear!
1/2cupsalted buttermelted, (1 stick) or use unsalted
3largeeggsdivided use
8oz. pkg.cream cheesesoftened
1lb. boxpowdered sugar(if using from a 2-lb. bag, weigh sugar to get exactly one pound)
2cupschopped Butterfinger Bars
Instructions
Mix together cake mix, butter and one egg in a large mixing bowl.
Pat the mixture in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13” glass baking dish with your hands.
Mix remaining two eggs, cream cheese and box of powdered sugar together in a separate mixing bowl with electric mixer.
Beat until completely smooth and creamy and pour over crust mixture.
Sprinkle chopped Butterfinger Bars over top, spreading evenly.
Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes, or until mixture is set on top and not wiggly.
Notes
NOTE: For easier cutting, refrigerate bars a few hours before cutting.NOTE:12.375-ounces of Butterfingers to = 2 cups of chopped Butterfingers.NOTE: I sprinkle a little bit of flour over top of the crust layer to spread the mixture in the pan without sticking to my hands.
