Steaks with Peppery Onions are phenomenal! These sumptuous steaks are topped with Sautéed Onions providing so much additional flavor. 1 gas grill you can also use an electric grill or charcoal grill but time may vary
1 large skillet
1 sharp knife to cut onions
1 cutting board
measuring spoons
1 serving platter
Ingredients
3mediumsweet onionsor Vidalia onions, sliced thinly and separated into rings
1tsp.garlicfinely minced
1tsp.sea salt
1tsp.ground black pepper
2tbsp.olive oil
1tbsp.salted butter
24ounces New York Strip steaksor boneless rib-eye steaks (four six-ounce steaks)
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the onions, garlic and seasonings in oil and butter mixture.
Cook and stir frequently about 15-20 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
Meanwhile, grill steaks on gas grill until you reach the desired doneness for rare, medium rare, medium or well done.
Remove steaks to a serving platter.
Garnish with onions.
Serve.
Notes
NOTE: The onions are a little peppery but fantastically seasoned in my opinion. However, if you normally prefer to have your food more mildly seasoned, I recommend reducing the pepper to ½ teaspoon instead.
