Cherry Cobbler with Almond Glaze is so delectable and mouthwatering. If you enjoy Cherry Cobbler recipes, this one is sure to delight you and your family. Meanwhile, combine flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl.
Add milk (or half-and-half).
Stir just until dry ingredients are moist.
Pour batter over butter in baking dish.
(Do NOT stir.)
Bring 1 cup granulated sugar, cherries, and lemon juice to a boil in a medium sauce pan over medium to high heat, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in almond extract.
Pour over batter in baking dish.
(Do NOT stir).
Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until the top is brown.
Allow cobbler to cool completely before adding glaze.
ALMOND GLAZE:
Combine ingredients with a whisk and drizzle over cooled cobbler.
Notes
NOTE: If you try to substitute a thinner milk for the half-and-half in the glaze, the consistency will be off. You will have to decrease the amount, otherwise, the glaze will be too thin and runny.NOTE: You can substitute canned cherries for the fresh cherries in the recipe. Rinse and drain well. Then pat the cherries really dry with paper towels before using in recipe.
