Cherry Melt-In-Your-Mouth Cookies are awesome! These delightful cherry cookies just seem to dissolve in your mouth. They'll cure any sweet tooth craving and are so delectable you'll be drooling over every bite. They're the perfect dessert for summer when cherries are in season. We loved them.
Add oil, sugars, vanilla, egg, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda.
Mix with an electric mixer to combine.
Add flour and cherries.
Stir with a wooden spoon to combine.
Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray.
Using a ¼ cup cookie scoop, scoop dough and place on prepared cookie sheets.
Bake at 350° for 18-20 minutes or until done.
Rotate cookie sheets on oven racks every seven minutes of baking time.
Cool completely.
Notes
NOTE: larger cookies take longer to bake than regular sized cookies.NOTE: Using a cherry pitter will reduce the length of preparation time for this recipe.NOTE: You can also substitute almond extract for the vanilla extract in the recipe.
