Cracked Peach Cookies are outrageously good! These fabulous cookies combine the best of Sugar Cookies with fresh peaches. They make a scrumptious treat for summer holiday fun, backyard barbecues and grilling out with friends.

1 wooden spoon
1 sharp knife
to peel and pare peaches

Ingredients

unsalted butter
softened

egg yolks

pure vanilla extract

UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour
bleached flour toughens baked goods

tsp.
baking soda

tsp.
cream of tartar

peaches
peeled and diced
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets.
Cream together sugar, butter, egg yolks, baking soda, cream of tartar and vanilla.
Add flour and peaches and stir with a wooden spoon until combined.
Form dough into walnut size balls and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Don't flatten.
Bake about 15-20 minutes, until set.
Rotate cookie sheets on oven racks every seven minutes while baking.
