Funfetti Gooey Butter Cookies

Gooey and delicious funfetti cookie with lots of sprinkles! These cookies have cream cheese in the batter making for a really soft cookie. They're ooey, gooey and absolutely heavenly. Perfect for birthdays, tailgating parties, potlucks or whenever you have a sweet tooth craving.

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened 1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature (1 stick) 1 large egg 1 box Funfetti cake mix 1/2 cup sprinkles (or more if desired) 2/3 cup powdered sugar
Mix cream cheese, butter and egg with an electric mixer until well blended.
Add cake mix and continue beating until thoroughly mixed.
Add sprinkles and stir into cookie mixture.
Chill dough one hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Roll dough into balls and roll in powdered sugar.
Place on cookie sheets that have been only lightly sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake about 10-12 minutes.
Rotate cookie sheets on oven racks after 6 minutes of baking time.
Allow cookies to cool before removing from cookie sheets
NOTE: Try to get the sprinkles that don't have dark blues, purples and greens. Otherwise, the sprinkles will discolor the cookie dough.
