- 1 lb. fresh or frozen green beans washed and tips removed
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 2 tbsp. olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt optional
In a saucepan, bring beans and water to a boil; reduce heat to medium.
Cover and cook beans for 10-15 minutes or until beans are fork tender; drain and set aside.
In a medium skillet, saute almonds in olive or canola oil over low heat until lightly browned.
Place green beans in serving bowl.
Add sautéed almonds, lemon juice and seasoned salt and stir to combine.
Serve.
