Green Beans Amandine

This quick and easy side dish makes green beans pop with flavor. It's a great complement to any kind of meat or fish. Also wonderful for week night, company or holiday dinners. Green Beans Amandine is healthy, low calorie, gluten free and vegan.

1 lb. fresh or frozen green beans washed and tips removed 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup almonds slivered 2 tbsp. olive oil or avocado oil 1 tsp. lemon juice 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt optional
In a saucepan, bring beans and water to a boil; reduce heat to medium.
Cover and cook beans for 10-15 minutes or until beans are fork tender; drain and set aside.
In a medium skillet, saute almonds in olive or avocado oil over low heat until lightly browned.
Place green beans in serving bowl.
Add sautéed almonds, lemon juice and seasoned salt and stir to combine.
Serve.
