Equipment

  • 1 large sauce pan with lid
  • measuring spoons
  • measuring cups
  • 1 wooden spoon
  • 1 colander
  • 1 sharp knife to cut the tips off the green beans and mince garlic

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans tips removed
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large sauce pan over medium-high heat, bring the green beans, garlic and water to a boil.
  • Reduce heat.
  • Simmer green beans for 8 to 10 minutes or until fork tender.
  • Drain in colander; transfer green beans to serving dish (or back to sauce pan).
  • Stir in olive oil, oregano, salt and pepper.
  • Serve immediately.
