York Peppermint Pattie Chocolate Pie
York Peppermint Pattie Chocolate Pie is outstanding. This luscious pie is made with York Peppermint Patties for a full-bodied chocolate and peppermint taste. It's a terrific dessert for company or holidays. This easy, 5-ingredient recipe is rich, decadent and irresistible.
- 17.3 oz. pkg. York Peppermint Patties divided use
- 1 1/2 cups half-and-half
- 5.85 oz. pkg. instant chocolate pudding (dry)
- 8 oz. container cool whip or other non-dairy frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 9-inch Keebler chocolate crumb crust
Slice four York peppermint patties in half; set aside.
Coarsely chop 1 ¼ cups of York peppermint patties; reserve ¼ cup for topping.
Combine pudding with half and half and whisk vigorously for two minutes.
Fold in Cool Whip topping.
Stir in the coarsely chopped peppermint patties.
Pour chocolate mixture into chocolate crust.
Line the outside edge of the pie evenly with the eight York peppermint patties’ halves.
Sprinkle ¼ cup of reserved crushed patties over top.
Freeze for six hours before serving.
NOTE: This recipe will not work in an eight-inch chocolate crumb crust. It needs a 9-inch chocolate crumb crust.
NOTE: You will not use the entire package of York peppermint patties.
NOTE: I cut each Peppermint Patty in eighths rather than coarsely chopping.
