Chocolate Chip Peach Pound Cake

One of our favorite peach desserts. This cake has peaches and chocolate chips for a fantastic combination of flavors that can't be beat.

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
  • 3 cups fresh peaches diced
  • powdered sugar to sprinkle on cake or chocolate glaze (below) if desired


  • 2 tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp. water or a little more if needed for spreading consistency



  • Cream butter, add sugar, eggs, vanilla, almond extract, baking soda and sour cream together.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • Add flour peaches and chocolate chips and stir until combined.
  • Pour into greased and floured 10-inch bundt pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 ½ hours, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely.
  • Loosen edges with rubber spatula. Invert cake onto plate.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate glaze.


  • Whisk ingredients until you get a smooth spreading consistency.
  • Don’t add too much water. The icing needs to be thick so it won’t absorb into the cake.
