Teresa Ambra
Sausage Cheese Drops are absolutely amazing. This tasty and savory 4-ingredient breakfast entree can also be served as appetizers and finger foods for tailgating parties. Really nice treat for holiday brunches and country-style breakfasts.

Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • measuring cups
  • 2 large 18x26" cookie sheet pans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. mild pork sausage uncooked
  • 16 oz. bag sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 1/4 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 3/4 cup 2% milk

Instructions

  • Mix sausage, cheese and Bisquick with your hands until ingredients are blended.
  • Add milk or water slowly and continue mixing with your hands as needed to make mixture that can be rolled into balls.
  • Roll sausage mixture into golf-ball sized balls.
  • Place balls on large cookie sheets.
  • Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes.
  • Serve hot!

Notes

NOTE: I found it easier to keep my hands moist while rolling.

NOTE: This is easier to mix, if you mix it with your hands and break the sausage down into small clumps first.

NOTE: You can also cook this at 400 for about 15-20 minutes.
