Taco Soup is a wonderful soup featuring Ranch Dressing Mix. This delicious Tex-Mex soup includes ground beef, tomatoes, beans, chilies, onions, and corn. It's so quick and easy to prepare and wonderful for tailgating parties, potlucks and family or company dinners. Be warned: this soup will be gobbled up in no time.
1 hamburger chopper to cut meat down in small pieces while frying
measuring cups
measuring spoons
1 spatula
1 sharp knife to cut vegetables
Ingredients
1 1/2lbs.ground sirloin or lean ground beef
1pkg.taco seasoning mixor make homemade taco seasoning mix
1pkg.dry Ranch Dressing mix
1cankidney beansundrained
1canpinto beansundrained
1canwhole kernel cornundrained
29oz. cancrushed tomatoes
14.5oz. cantomatoes with diced chiliesundrained
1mediumonionchopped
20oz.chicken broth
Instructions
Brown beef with onion in a Dutch oven or large sauce pan.
Use a hamburger chopper to break meat up into small pieces while frying.
Add seasonings and all other ingredients.
Heat through, about 10-15 minutes.
Serve hot.
Notes
NOTE: After browning beef and onions you can transfer all ingredients to a crockpot and cook on high a couple of hours to heat through.NOTE: You can also use a Homemade Taco Seasoning or Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix if you don't have the packets on hand or you want a preservative free soup.
