Easy French Dressing

Teresa Ambra
Easy French Dressing is a vintage salad dressing recipe my Mom and cousin's used to make. This quick and easy French dressing recipe is mixed in the blender. It's a simple recipe that starts with a can of condensed tomato soup! Great over any kind of salad including Taco Salads.

Equipment

  • 1 blender
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 can condensed tomato soup or 17.3-oz. box tomato basil soup
  • 1 1/4 cups canola oil or avocado oil
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. dehydrated onion flakes

Instructions

  • Put in blender and blend until well mixed.
  • Makes about 3 cups if using condensed soup and 4 cups if using non-condensed soup.
  • Refrigerate.

Notes

NOTE: Mom would save large ketchup bottles with the special lid and put this dressing in it and keep it in the refrigerator. Then you just squeeze out how much you want on your salad like regular salad dressings.

NOTE: I typically make this with Campbell's condensed tomato soup.
