Spicy Honey-Brushed Chicken Thighs are sensational! This spicy chicken dish is well seasoned and brushed with an apple cider vinegar and honey mixture. It's a fabulous gluten free, clean-eating recipe that's terrific for dinner or as an appetizer for tailgating parties.
2lbs.chicken thighs8 skinless, boneless, or 6 regular chicken thighs
6tbsp.honey
2tsp.cider vinegar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Combine the garlic powder, chili powder, salt, cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper in a large ziplock bag.
Add chicken to bag, seal and shake, coating the pieces of chicken.
Place chicken in a glass baking dish sprayed with cooking spray and bake for about 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 180 degrees.
(Mine took about 45 minutes).
While the chicken is baking, combine the honey and vinegar in a small bowl, stirring well.
When the chicken is cooked through, remove from oven.
Brush chicken pieces with the honey mixture.
Bake an additional 5 minutes, baste chicken, turn pieces over and bake an additional 5 minutes or until chicken is crisp.
Notes
NOTE: This recipe will work just as well with boneless chicken breasts, turkey cutlets, or bone-in chicken pieces. Just adjust cooking time accordingly.NOTE: A whole, cut-up chicken or boneless, skinless chicken breasts will also work in this recipe.
