Strawberry Twinkie Dessert is a spectacular 3-ingredient dessert that's great for holiday entertaining. This is a great substitute for Strawberry Shortcake and uses Hostess Twinkies, frozen sliced strawberries, and Cool Whip non-dairy topping. This lovely strawberry dessert will rock your world! • 16 oz. container cool whip or other non-dairy whipped topping

Instructions

  • Cut Twinkies lengthwise and layer cream-side-up in bottom of 9x13” baking dish.
  • Spoon thawed strawberries over top of Twinkies.
  • It will cover the surface pretty well.
  • Spread Cool Whip over top.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Serve within a few hours.

Notes

NOTE: This is really good for only about 12 hours. It is best to make it only a few hours before you need to serve it. It gets a little mushy after a couple of days in the refrigerator.

NOTE: Garnish with additional fresh strawberries, if desired.

NOTE: I usually place the frozen strawberries in the refrigerator about a day before using in order to thaw them completely.
