Easy Garlic Parmesan Knots | Can't Stay Out of the Kitchen

Easy Garlic Parmesan Knots

Teresa Ambra

Easy Garlic Parmesan Knots are easy, they’re garlicky, they’re loaded with parmesan cheese and other herbs that make them absolutely irresistible. I know you probably think I’m just plain looney when it comes to my love for bread. But here’s another delectable bread recipe that just can’t be beat.

Follow Me On Instagram!

On top of that, this recipe starts with frozen bread dough so it’s doubly easy. After cutting the bread dough into 12 strips, the strips are rolled into long ropes, the ropes are tied in knots, and then the ends of each knot are tucked into the top and bottoms of the centers of each knot so that the knots almost look like an infinity knot. After brushing the knots with the special garlic, parmesan herb sauce before and after baking, Easy Garlic Parmesan Knots are ready to eat.

These amazing Garlic Knots are completely drool worthy served with my delicious Easy Marinara Sauce. I’m not kidding when I say these Garlic Knots rock. I made them for some friends who moved into a new home in the neighborhood where we’re also building a home.

But since I used 3 pounds of bread dough and made 36 of the knots, I knew they wouldn’t be able to eat all of them. So, I packed about half of them up in zip lock bags and stored them in the freezer. Then I pulled them out to serve for Thanksgiving dinner at my son’s home.

He made a turkey, ham and mashed potatoes. I showed him how to make Turkey Gravy, and brought Bridled Noodles (his favorite along with one of his Dad’s favorites), these Easy Garlic Parmesan Knots and a batch of my Easy Marinara Sauce. One of the teenage guests who came to our Thanksgiving dinner ate at least three of those knots! The basket of Garlic Knots I brought was downed in almost no time!

If you want a great appetizer for The Big Game, for any tailgating party, or even holiday dinners like Thanksgiving :), I can’t recommend Easy Garlic Parmesan Knots enough. I have to admit I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE garlic bread, and this bread has plenty of savory, garlicky flavor.

Plus the parmesan cheese also adds spectacular texture and taste. Dunk the knots in the Marinara Sauce and you’ll be in heaven! Whether you serve these knots as an appetizer or as a side with any Italian  entree (I made them to serve with Pesto Lasagna), I think you’ll find this superb bread absolutely amazing. Did I mention it’s ridiculously easy to make, too?? 🙂

I used these ingredients. By adding a couple extra tablespoons of melted butter to the sauce ingredients, I found there was enough sauce for all 3 lbs. of bread dough–or 36 garlic knots–to brush on bread dough before and after baking.

Could you make the knots ahead of time and refrigerate and then bake later?

Hi Veronica. That might work but I’m not sure how well they’d rise after refrigerating them again before baking. I baked them ahead of time and then froze them for a week or two. Then after defrosting them, I warmed them for a few minutes in a slow oven around 200 degrees. Hope that helps.

I was thinking of using premade biscuit dough instead of the Rhodes dough. so that might not need to rise, right?

You can give it a try, Veronica, but it will definitely taste different.
