Chocolate Chip Toffee Brownies
Have I got a doozy of a recipe for you today! Chocolate Chip Toffee Brownies. Chocolate and toffee. Yes, yes, yes! These amazing brownies are loaded. Plus, they’re incredibly rich, decadent and divine. If you love chocolate and toffee, they blend perfectly together in this luscious dessert.
This is actually based on a Paula Deen recipe I found in one of her magazines about 12 years ago. I make it as cookies very frequently. I’ve used the base recipe in so many renditions it’s not even funny. The first time I made this recipe was in the summer of 2008. I took them to a beginner Greek class I was taking for my Master’s of Divinity degree at the time. They were a rage and everyone loved them.
I made them again back in early November for John’s Day Neuro staff. I tried to make sure they got goodies weekly as their job is so tough. Working with stroke patients or those with TBI’s can be so difficult. I thought these would be nice treats for the staff. It would also let them know how much we appreciated their kindnesses to John over that four-month period.
If you want a spectacular dessert for your family, company or friends, this is the one to try. 🙂 I assure you everyone will love them and you’ll come home with an empty plate. 😉
Chocolate Chip Toffee Brownies are the ultimate in brownies.
These are loaded with chocolate chips and Heath English Toffee Bits.
You’ll be salivating with every mouthful.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Soften butter and place in mixing bowl. Add sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, baking soda and salt.
Mix with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add chocolate chips and Heath English Toffee Bits.
Stir well to combine.
Pat dough into a greased 12×17″ cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool completely before slicing into bars.
Yes, you will be able to eat a whole stack of these jewels. 🙂
This Paula Deen recipe is a keeper!
