Chocolate Chip Ooey Gooey Bars are sensational! These irresistible blondies have a cake mix crust, a lovely, gooey cream cheese layer and topped with chocolate chips and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Great for holiday baking and parties.

1 box classic yellow cake mix or Golden Recipe-Butter Flavor 1 stick unsalted butter (1/2 cup) melted 3 large eggs divided use 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened 1 lb. box powdered sugar (or 3 1/2 cups) 1 cup chocolate chips
Mix together cake mix, butter and one egg and put in bottom of greased 9 x 13” pan.
In a large mixing bowl, mix two eggs, cream cheese and one-pound box of powdered sugar together with an electric mixer.
Beat until smooth and pour over crust mixture.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
Bake at 325° for about 35-45 minutes.
NOTE: Ovens vary. Start checking temperature after 30 minutes. You want the middle of the cake to be a little gooey in the center.
