Chunky Blond Brownies

Chunky Blond Brownies is our favorite brownie recipe with chocolate chunks, vanilla chips and macadamia nuts. Everyone always raves over these treats. They're a spectacular brownie that's great for holiday baking including summer holiday fun like Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day.

1/2 cup unsalted butter softened (1 stick) 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar packed 2 large eggs 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract 1-1/2 cups UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour bleached flour toughens baked goods 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. sea salt 1 cup Nestle's Toll House premiere vanilla baking chips 1 cup Nestle’s semi-sweet chocolate chunks 6 oz. pkg. Mauna Loa macadamia nuts roasted and chopped
In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla, baking powder and salt; mix well.
Add flour, vanilla chips, chocolate chunks and 3/4 cup macadamia nuts.
Spread into greased 13x9 baking dish.
Sprinkle with remaining chopped macadamia nuts.
Press nuts gently into the batter with your hands so they adhere to the batter.
Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool and cut into squares.
NOTE: My oven seems to run slow. It took almost 50 minutes before a toothpick inserted in center came out clean.
