2 1/2cupsGold Medal UNBLEACHED all-purpose flourbleached flour toughens baked goods
1tsp.baking soda
1/2tsp.cream of tartar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets.
Cream together sugar and butter.
Beat in egg yolks and vanilla.
Add flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
Stir (or you can mix on low speed of electric mixer).
Form dough into walnut size balls and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Don't flatten.
Bake 11 to 12 minutes, until tops are cracked and just turning color.
Notes
NOTE: My oven took about 15 minutes, but you do not want to overbake these cookies. It is better to take them out before they are completely done.NOTE: Adding the whole egg will completely change the texture of these cookies. Use only the yolks.
