Crockpot Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 - 3 lbs. ½” thick round steak sirloin sizzlers
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 medium onions sliced and separated into rings
  • 2 4-oz. cans sliced mushrooms undrained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup or condensed beef broth
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • noodles
  • fresh parsley for garnish if desired

Instructions
 

  • Cut steak into small strips or pieces and roll in flour.
  • Spray crockpot with cooking spray.
  • Put floured beef in crock pot and add salt and pepper.
  • Add all other ingredients EXCEPT sour cream.
  • Cook about 4-5 hours on high or 8 hours on low.
  • Add sour cream just before serving.
  • Heat through.
  • Serve over hot, buttered noodles.

Notes

NOTE: If you prefer a thicker stroganoff, drain the water from the mushroom cans. The recipe will still cook down fine.
