This succulent rice dish is so easy to make. It uses only 6 ingredients and takes five minutes to prepare. It's perfect as a side for any Asian entree. It's also terrific with chicken, pork, beef or fish. Great casserole for company and holidays, too.
Combine rice, beef broth, French onion soup, mushrooms and butter in a mixing bowl.
Stir to combine.
Pour ingredients into a greased 9x13” glass baking dish.
Cover with foil and bake for one hour to one hour 15 minutes.
Sprinkle parmesan cheese over top (do not mix in), and bake about 5 minutes longer.
Notes
NOTE: The original recipe called for this casserole to bake in one hour. My oven took almost 1 hour 15 minutes before it was set enough to add the parmesan cheese on top.NOTE: If you want to make this recipe gluten free, you will have to find a GF French Onion Soup online or make your own from scratch.
